The 2013 Escolha
Maria Papoila is an un-oaked blend of 70% Loureiro and 30% Alvarinho. It comes
in at 11.5% alcohol. Seeming perceptibly dry, if fruit-forward, it is fresh and
fruity, an easy going summer white that tastes great and also projects a
certain, interesting minerality. It is not particularly gripping or concentrated,
but it is well balanced, with a juicy and very tasty finish. It should be a hit
with everyone for friendly, summer sipping. Drink now-2016
